Holiday Decor Part 4

Holiday Decor

Part 4

Family Room

Recently I shared my stocking post that my husband made for me but I still wanted to share a few more photos of our family room decor.  I don't know about you but I am never really finished decorating.  I am always moving things and changing them around but I think I am finally finished with our family room.  Our theme is a blue Christmas featuring snowmen and whimsical things.  If you notice the penguin up on the desk in the above photo, he actually sings    "Bounce, bounce, everybody bounce, bounce to the water and bounce right in"  while he bounces.

Santa has been busy wrapping presents!

We even had a rare COLD night here in Texas and we were able to light a fire.  Please excuse the photo, I snapped a quick one while we were relaxing.

When we aren't dreaming by the fire, I have some pretty birchwood and greenery that I use to decorate the fireplace.

I had a little trouble finding birchwood but I finally found some at Hobby Lobby.  Don't you just love Hobby Lobby?  Wait till you see my other finds in my next blog post.

My wreath and garland are on a timer and they are on for 6 hours a day and then off for 18.  I love that I do not have to think about them.  I have them on from 6 pm til midnight.

Tiffany helped me wrap the gifts for everyone except hers of course.
And my favorite gift so far is this one.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Holiday Decor Part 3

Holiday Decor

Part 3

My pink ceramic deer that I recently added to my holiday decor collection.  I love their sweet vintage look and I just could not resist them.

I have used these cuties in my tea room to decorate for Christmas.  Here they are on display with some of my antique Limoges and pink bottlebrush trees.

Also featured here is my vintage Nancy Ann doll.

I added snowflake lights that are on a 6-hour timer.

I love how my mantel turned out.  It is so dreamy and precious.

I am almost finished decorating and I am now wrapping gifts and planning our holiday meal and the goodies we will make during this most wonderful time of the year.

Holiday Fun

Thanksgiving has come and gone and we have been having fun around the house.

My sweet hubby bought me this really cute dish filled with succulents and holiday accents.  I added the vintage snowman topper.

In the kitchen, my Tiffany has been busy.   She got to work making dark chocolate spoons, peppermint spoons, and snowflakes.

We like to use silicone molds to make are goodies.

Oh, and she made Teddy Bears!!!

And of course our spoons!

Next, we plan to make our macarons!

Coming up more holiday decor.

Holiday Decor Part 2 - A Stocking Post

Holiday Decor
Part 2

A Stocking Post

I have seen these beautiful stocking post on the internet and I decided that I would love to have one, so my sweet husband went to work. He made this using a 4X4, a post cap, and knob.  The base is made from 3 layers of wood that have been routered.  He added a baseboard that he also routered and then I went to work painting it.  I decided on white because it matches my family room decor and because I want to use the post year round for other things such as wreaths, flowers, etc.

He added 4 hooks and then it was my turn to decorate it.

Then I added some ribbon.

Nest some stockings and a bow around the top.

I love how it turned out and I am looking forward to using it in other ways around the house throughout the year.

A very special thank you to my wonderful husband for making this for me.

Update

And then we added fairy lights!

I will feature our family room decor again soon in a post while I share our holiday decor.

Happy Decorating,

Sofa Table

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I love to have our home fully decorated before that day.  I will be sharing my decor as I go along and today I am sharing my sofa table decor.  As you might remember my sweet husband made me a simple sofa table.  I wanted something simple to use behind my sofa for layering my decor during the Holidays.

I used the fairy lights to add sparkle to the table and my cute houses.

I love my vintage teal bottlebrush wreath.

The houses light up and I totally love bottlebrush trees!

I also used my vintage pink ceramic Christmas tree.  I was so tickled when I found this piece at the market in Wimberly Texas several years ago.

It is so beautiful at night with all the sparkling lights.

Here are so close up of some of my vintage things.

I have a set of three little angels, circa 1960.

I simply adore these vintage little snowmen also circa 1960.

Here is my white and blue angel.

Isn't she the sweetest!

Here are so close ups of my not so vintage things that I used on my sofa table.

I love this metal cake stand from Target.  It is really one of my favorite things.

My new house from Cracker Barrel. This was a gift for my Birthday from my sweet daughter. She gave it to me super early because she wanted it to be displayed.

This is my other house from Cracker Barrel which was a gift to myself.

This is the center of my sofa table

I love how it turned out.

Thank you so very much for coming to visit.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think and be sure to come back by to see more Holiday decor.

Hoping you are enjoying decorating for the season.
